Some of the greatest loves in our lives walk beside us on four legs, perch quietly on our shoulders, swim through our ponds, or greet us each morning with familiar songs and gentle routines. Their time with us is never long enough, yet the memories they leave behind stay with us forever.

This collection was born from my own journey with the animals who changed my life.

In 2010, while living in Singapore, I rescued a tiny black-and-white kitten abandoned in a dustbin. I named him Rocket, and he became my constant companion through years of adventure, laughter, comfort and change. He taught me that the smallest souls can leave the biggest pawprints on our hearts.

Years later, in Portugal, another little life found its way to me. Kennedy had also been rescued from a dustbin, just six weeks old. What began as an act of kindness became another extraordinary bond. Together, Kennedy and I crossed countries and chapters of life, travelling from Portugal back to the United Kingdom to begin again. Through uncertainty and new beginnings, she has been my loyal shadow, my comfort and my reminder that love can find us when we least expect it.
